As part ofthe IAP2 Global Certificate in Public Participation,the following courses will be offered:
Fundamentals on October 5-6, 2027 (deadline to register is October 1, 2027)
Designing on October 18-21, 2027 (deadline to register is October 14, 2027)
Fundamentals of Public Participation and Engagement (Level 1 practitioners) or IAP2 Way in Challenging Contexts (Level 2 practitioners) are prerequisites for Designing Public Participation & Engagement and Applying Methods courses.

ONLINE! Fundamentals of Public Participation and Engagement
ONLINE on Zoom: October 5-6, 2027 - $395 (3.5 hour sessions each day); 9:30 - 1pm Pacific Time. DEADLINE to REGISTER: October 1, 2027
IAP2 Fundamentals of Public Participation (P2) and Engagement is a Level 1 course that focuses on understanding and applying the practices of meaningful and effective public participation. The training explores principles, concepts and best practices, and how to design and apply this knowledge to your public participation and engagement work.
ONLINE! Designing Public Participation & Engagement
ONLINE on Zoom: October 18-21 - $750 (3.5 hour sessions each day); 9:30 - 1pm Pacific Time. DEADLINE to REGISTER: October 14, 2027
In this course, practitioners have the opportunity to develop public participation and engagement practice plans. This includes scoping, community mapping, determining purpose and objectives and levels of influence, choosing appropriate methods and managing resources, while considering the needs of diverse audiences.
