Our training

We are excited to be offering the NEW International Association for Public Participation’s (IAP2) Global Certificate in Public Participation! This learning program, consisting of 3 core courses, builds on the foundations of public participation training and best practices from around the globe to provide participants with 35 hours of effective training in public participation and engagement.

Upon successful completion of the Certificate in Public Participation, participants receive a "Certificate of Completion" to acknowledge their accomplishment and verify their training hours. 

In 2026, we are offering training in:

• Fall 2026: CALGARY - November 18-20 and 23-24, 2026

In 2027, we are offering training:

• CALGARY - IN PERSON (IAP2 Global Certificate Program)

  • Spring 2027 (in-person, Calgary) - April 7-9 and April 12-13, 2027. Deadline to register is end of day March 23, 2027.

  • Fall 2027 (in-person, Calgary) - November 17-19 and November 22-23, 2027. Deadline to register is end of day November 4th.

• ONLINE (Courses: Fundamentals of Public Participation & Designing Public Participation)

  • Winter 2027 (Zoom) - January 25 and 26 (Fundamentals) & February 22-25 (Designing)

  • Summer 2027 (Zoom) - June 9-10 (Fundamentals)

  • Fall 2027 (Zoom) - October 5-6 (Fundamentals) & October 18-21 (Designing)
